Volunteering

Greenham Control Tower needs you!

Our volunteers play a central role in making Greenham Control Tower a success and we are always looking for new volunteers to help out with this great building and the exciting future that lies ahead.

All volunteers undertake a briefing session on the history of the tower, and the common, so they can help us share one or more of the four themes around which the Control Tower project is focused:

nature conservation and wildlife

the military and Cold War history of the Common

the social history of the Common

the role of protest in society

What skills could you offer? It could be that your passion is fundraising, offering guided tours of the building, running events, helping with educational events for schools or facilities management.

We have identified a series of volunteer roles, including building guides, fundraisers and cafe team members. All the roles are important but, in order to keep the building open to the public, we particularly need building guides to help visitors to the building. So we are asking all volunteers to consider being a building guide, as well as one of the other more specialised roles.

You can find more information on all of our roles at the link below.
