Exciting new role of Volunteer, Project and Venue Coordinator needed for Greenham Common Control Tower.
You will be responsible for day to day management of this listed building, coordinating numerous volunteers and their training, and supporting the final stage of our project of heritage interpretation events and public bookings.
The successful candidate will bring relevant experience, which could have been gained in a variety of settings, and a high level of organisational and communication skills. A good humoured, lively and energetic approach is essential for this role as you will be welcoming the public, partner organisations and visitors to our unique heritage site.
A priority for this role is to research and implement a new web and app based volunteering system for ongoing use by Control Tower and volunteers for shift management and communication. There is also the exciting opportunity to support the co-ordination of the Greenham Cold War experience in relationship to the Control Tower.
The post is Wednesday to Sunday and requires flexibility to work occasionally outside normal working hours. Time off in lieu will be provided.
Initial Short Term Four month contract available from mid-March to mid-July, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. References essential.
Please note that this is a three storey Grade II listed building with only stair access to upper floors.
Where no Disclosure and Barring Service certificate is held, certification will be arranged before appointment.
Salary £20,000 pro rata depending on experience.
