Cafe Manager (Part Time)

Come and join our friendly team of staff and volunteers at the community café at Greenham Control Tower. We are a busy café serving visitors to the Control Tower and Greenham Common. Our aim is to create a warm inviting café for the local community and for visitors from further afield.

As a result of our success and to lead our growth plans, we are looking for someone who has experience of working in a food and beverage ‘front of house environment’ leading a small team, and who loves creating a warm welcome for customers.

For this part-time role you must be able to work flexible hours, including weekend shifts.

The successful applicant will have previous experience in this area and will be responsible for:

  • scheduling, supervising, and motivating a team of employees and volunteers
  • ordering, sourcing and inventory management
  • hiring and training team members
  • maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas while exhibiting excellent skills in quality customer service to customers
  • efficiently and accurately maintaining accounting procedures – including cost control and cash management
  • menu planning and profit management to deliver maximum value for the Tower and the tower’s customers
  • identifying other opportunities to generate revenue from the Tower cafe

Working hours are negotiable but you must be able to work weekend shifts
