About the Event
This talk will provide an insight into its planning and eventual demise and look at the effect it had not only on the children, but also on the parents. This is a topic which is rarely, if ever, taught in UK schools.
Our speaker is Prof Martin Parsons, who is a Research Fellow and Honorary Life Fellow at the University of Reading, where he previously led the Research Centre for Evacuee and War Child Studies. This is the second talk from this fascinating and engaging speaker so it promises to be a great event.
Doors open at 7pm, and the event is 7.30pm-8.30pm. Cafe available serving hot and cold drinks and cake.
