About the Event

Take a walk from the Tower with an expert guide
taking in some of the key installations including:

• Control Tower – with its exhibitions and observation deck
• WW2 Memorials – commemorates two accidents in December 1944
• Old runway – the original tarmac at the taxiway crossover point
• 501st Tactical Missile Wing HQ*
• Fire plane used for fire training*
• GAMA Ground Launched Cruise Missile Alert and Maintenance Area*
• The Blue Gate of the Women’s Peace Camp

The walk is about 3 miles and takes just over 2 hours.

As you visit the various sites your guide will explain the history of each in more detail.

You will also receive a handout to take away.

The café at the Tower will be open for
refreshments (optional) on your return.
